Using a photograph as a basis, students will learn how to transition a realistic image into an abstract one. Students may use either oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic. The choice is yours. Instructor Wanda Blake will show how to simplify and create exciting compositions.

One-Day Oil Landscape Workshop

10:00 am - 3:00 pm
This workshop will focus on composition, color values, structure and form. Heavy emphasis will be placed on the effect that light has on all painting and how to create a 'painter's eye.' A still life will be set-up by the instructor or you are welcome to bring your own subject matter to paint. A brief demonstration by Instructor Frank Ferrante will precede the workshop.

Summer Art Camp for Kids

This camp is for kids who like to draw and paint.

While developing their skills in the use of acrylics, pastels, charcoal, watercolors, colored pencils and other art media, students will have fun learning about famous artists and artwork of the past and present including 19th century France, 16th century Italy, ancient Greece and Egypt. Students will then create their own imaginative interpretations while learning basic art principles such as color mixing, perspective, shading, composition etc.
